Many budgets were blown in the making of this wedding.

First time at Rushton Hall Hotel & Spa in sunny Northamptonshire and hopefully not the last! So many meetings, phone calls and even a pre-wedding shoot at Kew Gardens in the run up Glenn and Reno’s wedding meant that we basically felt like best buds on the day.

This was a case study in balancing traditional with non-traditional, intimate with outlandish, the list goes on.

We started the day up in the rooms where Glenn and Reno were both getting ready together. We then swung by the girl’s rooms to say hello and cause some mayhem. I knew the moment Glenn accidentally poured a glass of champagne over his face at 10am that we were on for a good day.

Being Cypriot, Reno had his stolisma down in the drawing room with all of his friends and family, before we all headed over to the ceremony in the orangery. The place was kitted out head-to-toe in flowers by Cupid Installations.

Stewart The Celebrant, my namesake and my reason for booking this wedding, conducted the ceremony with infinite charm and bags of personality. Legend.

Drinks and oysters were flowing out in the courtyard for the drinks reception as the room was prepared for the evening celebrations. The dining room was absolutely stunning, with it’s sheer scale and attention to detail.

We were all welcomed into the room with musical accompaniment by The Aston Band, who were playing banger-after-banger just about the whole night. The dance floor was pretty bonkers, with shapes being thrown left, right and centre. I’m not surprised there were a few guests conked out as we headed down to Club Gleno in the basement for some late night shenanigans. 

Of course, we ended the night with a 2am McDonalds order, delivered by Glenn and Reno dressed as Ronald himself.
