Lucy & Harry’s Wedding at Pencarrow House in Cornwall
Cornwall, always a favourite. It’s pretty much as close as you can get to a destination wedding here in sunny England. Harry and Lucy clearly like to live dangerously (or optimistically), dodging the autumnal rainstorms and wild weather coming in off the coast.
This was actually a multi-day affair, with welcome drinks at the St Moritz Hotel the day before to get things off to a rowdy start.
The next morning it was back to the St Moritz where Lucy was getting ready with her bridesmaids. I floated about between here and an Airbnb down the road to cater for Harry’s seemingly endless number of groomsmen.
We all whizzed off to Pencarrow for the ceremony and reception, where thankfully the weather stayed clear for their outdoor ceremony. Always a beautiful spot on the lawn at Pencarrow amongst the trees and wildflowers.
I think this might have been one of the most stunning grazing tables I’ve seen at a wedding before, and clearly tasted good as it was devoured pretty quickly!
Predictably, the weather turned pretty hairy right in the middle of the outdoor speeches, so we all ran inside to continue things in the dry before heading over to the marquee for dinner, drinks and more drinks.
The dance floor was…chaotic. It’s a good thing I was there documenting it all, as quite clearly no one would be remembering much of that. What a way to end the 2025 wedding season!
