Are you the photographer that we’ll have on the day?
Absolutely! It’s always me photographing your wedding on the day. I have two packages for wedding photography, The Mini and The Mighty. They’re both exactly the same but The Mighty includes a second photographer to give me a hand on the day and capture a hell of a lot more!
I’m always your primary point of contact, the one answering the phone and the one answering emails. I also do all of the editing to bring everything into line after the wedding and make sure everything is looking it’s best before going online to your private gallery!
What is included in your prices?
Everything on my pricing page! I have only two packages, The Mini and The Mighty. Both are exactly the same other than The Mini is just me and The Mighty includes a second awesome photographer for the whole day!
I’m super relaxed with timings, arriving when you need me and leaving whenever I’ve captured enough. Throwing shapes on the dance floor is the best bit, so you don’t have to worry about me doing a runner after the first dance.
Included in both packages is £100 of fine-art print credit, which should get you well on your way to pick up either a whole bunch of smaller format prints, a couple of huge prints or perhaps a chunky discount on an album. Your gallery has built-in album design software, so you can simply grab a glass/bottle of wine and put together something awesome.
All travel expenses are also included up to about 2 hours from my house in Dorset, where I usually pop a cheap hotel stay on to make sure I’m nearby and not going to get stuck in traffic in the morning! This cost will be included in the quoted price at the point of booking.
Can we meet you before the shoot?
Course you can! I do video call most of my clients, as we’re all busy beavers and often a face-to-face meeting isn’t strictly necessary. But I’m more than happy to grab a coffee (or a wine) to chat all things photography, travel and life.
As an optional extra with my wedding photography packages, I offer engagement sessions. These are a great excuse for us to meet up and go explore an awesome spot on the coast. There might also be some photos included…who knows.
How and when can we pay you?
A non-refundable booking fee is required alongside the signed contract to confirm the booking. The booking fee is around 25% of the total cost.
I only accept BACS as a payment method, which is prompted as part of the online booking system. For international weddings I do take payments via PayPal, although the client must be responsible for the resulting fees.
The final balance is due 30 days before the wedding to get it out of the way!
How many photos will we get?
Weddings vary so much that it’s difficult to put an exact figure on how many final images you’ll receive. Throughout a wedding day, I’ll shoot literally thousands of photos before whittling them down to a more palatable number.
This final number varies a fair amount, with smaller weddings ending up with a gallery of around 500-600 and larger weddings around the 1200 mark. The rough average for standard sized weddings is about 800 final images and you’ll be safe in the knowledge knowing that I haven’t held any good stuff back. Everything that’s worth delivering is delivered!
How long does it take to get our photos?
I invest a huge amount of time and energy into carefully selecting the final photographs to best tell the story of the day and give them that signature look.
Because of this, it can take up to 6-8 weeks to receive the final photos during peak wedding season, although it’s often a lot less than this outside of peak summer months or if I just get my arse in gear.
I send over a few previews the day after your wedding when I’m backing up the files to whet your whistle!
How will we get our photos?
All final images are delivered on your very own swanky private gallery. The files are available in full resolution and can be downloaded directly from the gallery.
This is also a great central point for your photos to share with your guests, allowing them to also download the files and also pick up prints.
There’s a print store built into your gallery, which allows you to pick up a selection of high-end print products fulfilled by Loxley Colour in Scotland. Album design software is also built in, which means you can drag and drop over a glass of wine to put together your own stunning photo album.
Will you send us all of the unprocessed images?
A lot of photographers are very strict on this but I’m pretty relaxed. A lot of careful editing goes into the editing process to make sure that the photos have my very own signature style, though I’m happy for you to hang on to the RAW’s for archive purposes.
It’s more of a logistical headache than anything, as a wedding can run up around 300GB of image files. I’ve only had to do this once or twice before but as long as you can send me a hard drive then I’ll be happy to load them on and send them over! No biggy.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full details of my cancellation policy can be found within my Terms & Conditions, which ensures the protection of both myself and all clients.
