I’m a die-hard fan of back garden weddings—and Briana and Simon’s was no exception. It also helps that their back garden is basically an entire forest! A little jealous, I won’t lie.
The day started down the road at Forest Park Hotel where both Briana and Simon were getting ready but at separate ends of the hotel. I was on my own photographing their wedding, so this setup worked nicely as I just floated around between them all morning and snapped away!
Once everyone was ready, we headed off to Simon’s parents house in Romsey with the beautiful garden, where the ceremony was to take place half way down the garden in the middle of the woodland in a beautiful little open space kitted out with chairs and flowers. The ceremony was an emotional one. Briana’s mum was bawling her eyes out, most of the other guests weren’t far behind.
Once the ceremony was over, it was straight on the drinks and food. This was a proper garden party after all, and people certainly weren’t hanging back. Good vibes were flowing from all angles, as well as a hefty number of drinks. Can’t go too far wrong with seemingly endless tins of craft beers at an outdoor summer wedding.
The party later on was just as expected, rowdy with just the right amount of shapes being thrown and drinks going down the wrong way. What a day, let’s do that again.
