What. A. Day.

Weddings come in all shapes and sizes—but there are always those ones where I stand there and think, this is a bit of me. Steph and Sam’s shindig in The Yard at Chilton Manor Farm was definitely one of them.

From start to finish, the day was an absolute riot. The antithesis of ‘good people and good vibes in a cool place.’ You know when your entire wedding is shaped around your love of cycling and your dog having the best day, it’s probably going to be a good’un.

As a wedding photographer in Dorset, it’s only a short hope for me to whizz over to the Hampshire countryside. Chilton Manor Farm is a great spot for a wedding as it’s just a blank canvas to do whatever you like with. Steph and Sam opted for a humanist ceremony up on the hill with one of the best views you can find in Hampshire as the backdrop, with the doggo sticking close by Sam throughout. Hearts = melted.

Quick little photo sesh in the trees to dodge the harsh mid-afternoon sun, followed by a confetti tunnel as we whizzed back down the hill and got back on the bevvies. The Gin Inn supplied the gin van which, as you can see from the photos, went down an absolute storm.

As the light just dipped behind the trees, we headed back out for more photos to take full advantage of that stunning landscape, doggo in tow. Found it really hard whittling down photos to post from Steph and Sam’s wedding as everything just looked so damn good.

I had a funny feeling that the dance floor would be pretty bonkers and it certainly did not disappoint. Pretty sure everyone had had a few too many Panda Pops as the energy levels were through the roof. Steph and Sam win the for ‘most Haribo thrown across the dance floor at a wedding’ award, that’s for sure.

Can we do it again?

Stuart photographed our wedding beautifully this year, he was exactly what we wanted from a photographer – our guests barely knew he was there was on the day and he managed to capture incredible moments and made us both feel incredibly comfortable doing something that is out of our comfort zone. Stuart was really professional, polite and prompt, his online gallery is really easy to use and we have no regrets in booking him at all! Thank you so much Stuart!
