A back-to-back wedding weekend, and it just so happened to be two absolutely bonkers weddings, with Courtney & Cam’s wedding on the Saturday and Emily & Matthew on the Sunday.

I had never been to De Vere Latimer Estate before, even though it’s a very popular wedding venue. I’m also no stranger to photographing weddings from all cultures and religions, so it was great to photograph another amazing Jewish wedding, which I have a very soft spot for.

Everything was all at the same venue, which is very much welcome and something people should do more often. Everyone feels so much more relaxed knowing they don’t have to drive or travel around between locations. Even better when most/all guests are staying at the venue itself!

Emily and Matthew had clearly spent a huge amount of time and effort putting together so many beautiful details and thinking really hard about making their wedding day special. I mean, they had an artist painting their wedding ceremony for starters!

As with all Jewish weddings, the dance floor starts early and doesn’t stop. Emily and Matthew’s wedding certainly did not disappoint in this regard. I had just enough time to sink an Eat Natural bar after the ceremony, group shots and photos of the couple around the venue—before I was running back into the main room for a setup swap for some absolute mayhem.

Next thing I see is Matthew half embedded in the ceiling and Emily up on a chair surrounded by just about everyone. Bodies were flying, arms were flailing and I just had to keep shooting and hoping for the best. What a moment, I hardly knew where to even begin photographing.

The London Function Band put in a serious shift through the day, playing through the ceremony, drinks reception and all through the evening.

We had just enough time to catch a beautiful golden hour over the river, before we were back on the dance floor for more chaos.

What an absolute blast of a day! I think I’m still trying to recover…
