Louise & Sam’s Wedding at Stationers Hall in London
If this wasn’t a highlight of 2022 then I don’t know what is.
A classic case of a tiny registry office wedding getting outrageously out of hand, Louise and Sam’s wedding at the Stationers Hall in St Paul’s followed by the reception at Balfour St Bart’s was just everything you could possible want from a non-wedding.
Getting ready together up the road at the Fox & Anchor pub—the day started very much as it meant to go on. A little chaotic, completely non-traditional and just a big bag of fun. Heading over to Stationers Hall together, we snapped a few photos en route. Though we didn’t exactly have all of the time in the world. The one downside of the morning being so damn fun is that it also meant we were all hilariously late for the ceremony. At least everyone was late together!
After the ceremony, it was drinks and photos in the garden before going for a quick walk around St Paul’s cathedral. Now I’m always one for a naughty photo or rule break, and this was no exception. While the security wasn’t looking, we made a quick runner for St Paul’s Cathedral for a sneaky photo of Louise and Sam in front of the giant column. I’m ashamed to have not captured them being frogmarched back down the stairs by security, but I was doing my best ‘blend into the crowd’ technique.
A few more photos later, we were at Balfour St Bart’s for food, speeches and a hell of a lot of drinking. This was a boozy affair, just my kinda thing. I think the photos say it all really, I’m not sure there are poetic enough adjectives in the English language to summarise what went down!
