Covid really has thrown a massive shit spanner in the works for us wedding photographers.

2020 was meant to be a pretty crazy year for me, with weddings all over the world in some of the most amazing venues and locations. But slowly and very surely, just about all of them have been shuffled around into 2021 and 2022. I totally feel for all of the couples who have had to give up very special dates and for some, give up their venues and some suppliers, due to postponements.

This year really does needs a good deleting.

But ever the optimist, I’m always looking for a glimmer of positivity in otherwise rubbish times. I’ve spent a lot of time and attention getting my house in order making sure that I can provide a much smoother and ultimately better service for my clients. I’ve spent a lot of time and energy working on my other business which affords me the luxury of limiting the number of weddings I book so I can commit 110% to them. I’ve also indulged in a whole load of creative projects to keep my skills fresh, hone my style and become an infinitely better photographer.

To celebrate this and for Kat and Jonny to celebrate their anniversary, we went on a jolly down to Moor Crichel in Dorset (which also so happens to be just down the road from me) to capture some serious magic. What happened after that, well, look for yourself…
